Terms of Service

Welcome to CartNest. These terms are an agreement between you and CartNest for using our browser extension and website (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.

1. What CartNest is

CartNest helps you save items from online stores into a shared “nest” you can review with people you choose — to compare carts, catch duplicates, and decide together. CartNest is not a store: we do not sell products, process payments, or fulfill orders. Purchases happen on the retailers’ own sites under their terms.

2. Eligibility & accounts

• You must be 18 or older to create a CartNest account.
• You’re responsible for keeping your password and nest codes confidential. Anyone with a nest’s code can view that nest, so share codes only with people you trust.
• You’re responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, don’t:

• break the law, infringe others’ rights, or post content that is harmful, abusive, or that you don’t have the right to share;
• attempt to access nests, accounts, or data that aren’t yours;
• probe, scrape, overload, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure;
• use the Service to build a competing dataset or resell access without permission.

4. Your content

The items, reactions, comments, and notes you add (“Your Content”) remain yours. You grant CartNest a limited license to store, display, and process Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service and to sync it to the nests you’re part of. You’re responsible for Your Content and for having the right to share it.

5. Shared nests

A nest is shared by design: its items, reactions, and comments are visible to anyone with the nest’s code. If you add someone to a nest or share its code, you’re choosing to share that nest’s contents with them. Leaving a nest removes it from your account but does not delete it for others.

6. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and your consent choices, and is part of these terms. Settings that affect deals, aggregated insights, and advertising are opt-in and adjustable in your dashboard.

7. Third-party stores & links

CartNest reads product details from third-party retail sites and may link to deals or coupons. We don’t control those sites, don’t guarantee prices, availability, or that any code works, and aren’t responsible for your dealings with them. Some links may be affiliate links, meaning we could earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

8. Service changes & availability

CartNest is offered “as is” and “as available.” We’re actively building it, so features may change, and we may add, modify, or discontinue parts of the Service. We don’t guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or that captured data is complete or accurate.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CartNest disclaims all warranties not expressly stated here, and is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any purchasing decisions you make using the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your data anytime from your dashboard. We may suspend or end access if you violate these terms or to protect the Service or its users.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; we’ll change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice. Continuing to use the Service means you accept the updated terms.
